INGREDIENTS
2 cups cooked day-old rice 2 teaspoons sesame oil ¼ cup dark soy sauce ¼ cup chopped onions ¼ cup sliced fresh scallion 1 cup mixed vegetables 1 to 2 tablespoon oil DIRECTIONS
My dad taught me how to make fried rice, and it is one of my favorites dished to make with left-over rice or left-over noodles. His variation of this recipe includes adding a tablespoon or two of oyster sauce and scrambled eggs. I like using frozen organic vegetables in my recipes and a dark soy sauce. My go-to soy sauce to use is Mushroom soy sauce. I like the darker color the soy sauce gives my rice, as well as the salty flavor. Have fun with this recipe and add left-over meats, garlic, or a bit of Mirin to your fried rice!
