Pizza night, made personal

These individual naan pizzas are an easy way to practice measuring, knife skills, and building a balanced plate.

There are no wrong toppings—choose colorful vegetables, a protein, and just enough cheese.

What you'll need

Ingredients

Pizza base

  • 4 naan breads, whole wheat if available
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil, optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Sauce and cheese

  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan, optional

Topping ideas

  • Bell peppers, mushrooms, red onion, spinach, tomatoes, olives, corn, or zucchini
  • Cooked chicken, turkey pepperoni, lean turkey sausage, ham, or plant-based crumbles

Step by step

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brush naan with olive oil if using, then sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  3. Spread about 2 tablespoons sauce over each naan, leaving a ½-inch edge.
  4. Add about ½ cup mozzarella to each pizza and choose your toppings.
  5. Bake 10–12 minutes, until the cheese melts and edges are golden. Cool 2–3 minutes before slicing.

Dianne's kitchen tip

Use cooked proteins

If using chicken or turkey, cook it to 165°F before adding it to the pizza.

Try a veggie lover, barbecue chicken, Hawaiian, supreme, or Mediterranean combination.
